About Dominic

Hello. My name is Dominic Yeoman. I am English, 47, married with two children and living in the UK. My vocation is teaching and I am in the extremely fortunate position of loving my work. My main subjects are colour and the Aura-Soma system though I also have a keen interest in Numerology, Tarot, Kaballah, and more.

I work all around the world, though mostly in Europe and Japan, collaborating with a network of organisers to bring unique and original courses to students. My intention now is to make this knowledge and education more widely available through writing and using the new opportunities that technology and the internet provide.

How did I get to be in this fortunate position? Here is a brief history of the steps of my life.

1962
Born in London

1984
Graduated with a BA Honours Degree in History from University College Cardiff

1985
Moved to London where I became involved with the nascent New Age movement there and studied various healing arts including Reiki and Kinesiology. I met the newly created Aura-Soma colour system in the spring of this year and attended my first Aura-Soma course that September in Wick, at the home of Mike and Claudia Booth.

1986 – 88
I immersed myself in the study of Aura-Soma, attending many courses through this period. I was also immensely privileged to be able to work occasionally at Gold Hill West where Vicky Wall and Margaret Cockbain, Mike and Claudia Booth created, developed and nurtured Aura-Soma in the very early years of the system. I also established “Wellbeing” an Aura-Soma consultation practice in London.

1988 – 89
I travelled to India to study yoga, and then moved on to Hong Kong where I became an English teacher. It was here I found that sharing knowledge, inspiring and helping others to learn, was a great joy for me. I had discovered my vocation: teaching.

1990 – 92
I returned to the UK, gained my RSA Teaching Certificate and taught English in Cambridge. I was at a small school, but one with a high reputation for its teaching quality. Here I was able to acquire and develop many teaching skills and principles that have benefitted me ever since. In 1992 I came to a crossroads in my teaching career and realised that Aura-Soma was the real subject I wished to teach.

1993 – 2001
I came to Tetford in Lincolnshire where the Aura-Soma company was now located and entered Aura-Soma on the teaching side. I worked closely with Mike and Claudia Booth to develop the Aura-Soma education. My initial task was to support Mike in presenting the courses of the time and ground his work, along with Vicky’s original inspirations, into a structure which has become the basis of the Aura-Soma Training that still exists to this day. In this period I wrote the original Foundation and Intermediate Course Workbooks, and also created the original Teacher notes for all levels of the Training. I went on to develop the Aura-Soma Practitioner system, the Renewal Process and the original Practitioner Newsletter. However over the years my job became increasingly managerial and distant from my original love that is teaching. In 2001 I left the company to find a new way and that is what I have been doing ever since.
